Designed by Renowned French Architects Jakob+MacFarlane
Selected through an international architectural competition sponsored by the French and Egyptian governments, the campus was designed by world-renowned Franco-New Zealand architects Dominique Jakob and Brendan MacFarlane.
The design marries innovative bioclimatic principles with contemporary Egyptian vernacular: sculpted wind-catchers (malkaf), shaded colonnades, high thermal-inertia walls, and lush sunken gardens that naturally reduce ambient temperature by up to 6°C.
